This is the Alhambra in Granada as you've always wanted to see it. Our virtual visit reveals every last detail of this fabulous palace site which, along with the Albaicín quarter, holds the UNESCO World Heritage designation. This interactive tool allows you to see its singular beauty and the most inaccessible parts of each room from extremely close up by means of high-resolution images.
The Alhambra and the Generalife in Granada are together one of the most visited monumental sites in Spain. It is a unique and exceptional example of an Arab palatial city from the Middle Ages, and guarantees visitors a whole host of marvellous surprises at every step. Now we bring you the opportunity to discover its secrets with our virtual tour.
For example, you can go up on high in the Hall of the Ambassadors to take a closer look at the stars on the ceiling; you can marvel at the delicacy of the wooden stalactite-shaped prisms known as mocárabes in the Hall of the Two Sisters; see the restored fountain in the Courtyard of the Lions, and see in close-up the decorative motifs, inscriptions and the tiles in the Comares Bath. You can also visit sites such as the Captive's Tower and the Queen's Dressing Room, which are not normally open to the public.
This virtual visit offers the chance to see every tiny detail of the most important architectural spaces in this astounding place: the Alcazaba, the Mexuar, the Court of the Myrtles, the Golden Room, the Mullioned Window Room, the Palace of Charles V, the Generalife palace… You'll also be treated to some exceptional views of the city of Granada from the Alhambra itself. Another essential view of this Nasrid site –against the backdrop of the mountains of the Sierra Nevada– can be seen from the San Nicolás viewing point in the Albaicín quarter. Simply spectacular.
Thanks to this wholly interactive tour, you decide what you want to see and how you want to see it, as well as when to move and where to go next. This has been made possible through a painstaking technical labour of digitisation involving almost 40,000 high-resolution images. Some of the scenes can be enlarged to a definition of 6,400%.
