A film set in rural post-Civil War Catalonia, the winner of numerous prizes at the Goya Awards.
Andreu is a boy who lives in a village in the Catalan mountains during the harsh post-war years. One day he finds the dead bodies of a man and his son, a friend of his, in the woods. The authorities attempt to blame Andreu's father, who was known for his left-wing sympathies in the past, and the boy tries to find the real murderer in order to protect his father.
