When he was a baby, Marcelino was abandoned at the doors of a Franciscan monastery. The child grows up happily with the monks, who adore him despite his pranks. However, Marcelino cannot help missing the mother he never had. One day, in the attic, he discovers a crucifix to which he begins to tell his worries.
