A curious fantasy film that uses techniques and visual effects to experiment with the German Expressionist movement.

At the end of the 19th century, a young man called Basilio sees the ghost of Mantua, an archaeologist. The ghost tells him of a subterranean city inhabited by some sinister, hunchbacked criminals, who have kidnapped his niece, Inés. Basilio will go in search of the tower of the seven hunchbacks to set the beautiful girl free.
