La escopeta nacional

Year

1978

A comedy with a series of sketches harshly criticising the last period of Franco’s regime. The scenes and dialogues are right on target in their depiction of several archetypes.

In the 1970s, a Catalan intercom manufacturer visits Madrid with his lover to attend a hunt that he has paid for, and which is to be participated in by people from high society who are well connected with the Franco government. His intention is to promote his business, but he will find himself confronted with the most absurd people and situations.
