This film, an award winner at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and the Goya Awards, is based on the novel by Juan Madrid.

Antonio is a member of ETA who no longer believes in the terrorist cause. When he comes to Madrid to prepare a terrorist attack, he gets to know his neighbour Charo, an 18-year-old heroin addict, and the sordid, marginalised world he lives in. They begin a love affair that will make Antonio question the course his life is taking. He will soon have to decide whether to love or to go on killing.
