Feature film

Original title

Deprisa, deprisa

Year

1980

Director

Carlos Saura

Winner of the Golden Bear award at the Berlin International Film Festival. It shows the world of juvenile delinquents in the 1980s, featuring real young delinquents.

Carlos Saura avoids the tendency to see things in black and white and portrays the characters from a distance, in all their humanity. “El Mini”, “El Meca”, “El Sebas” and Ángela are four young people living in the poor outskirts of the city. They want to escape the reality that surrounds them, and for that they need money. Working for and saving years do not fit into their plans. They want to get money fast and live fast.
