A personal, intimate work by its director, that was also a box office hit outside Spain.
Ana recalls her traumatic childhood, in a family without love. Her mother suffers from a painful illness, while her father ignores the whole situation, having an affair with a friend. Ana, who is nine, believes she has power over the life and death of those around her, because she has a very strong poison and is willing to use it against anyone who tries to hurt her mother.
