A bitter sweet comedy set in the divided sides of Spain facing each other in the Civil War, winner of 13 Goya awards.
A company of itinerant artists providing entertainment for republican soldiers during the Civil War finds itself in the nationalist zone by mistake, and its members end up in prison. In order to save themselves, they must put on a performance for the military officers, in praise of the nationalist side’s values and against republican principles.
