There is another copy of this work by Victorio Macho in the Dolores Ibarruri Foundation, as well as a reproduction in the gardens of the Casa del Reloj building in Leganés (Madrid).

The sculpture is an example of extraordinary contained force. It depicts the historical leader of the Spanish Communist Party (PCE), Dolores Ibarruri, also known as 'La Pasionaria'. The sculpture was produced in Valencia, and was exhibited in the Cultural Centre of the city to great acclaim. It became part of the museum's permanent exhibition in 1999.
