Victorio Macho made three self portraits: two drawings and one sculpture.
The self-portraits created in his youth show a romantic figure with a strong rebellious streak and an independent nature. In this portrait, produced in adulthood, he is shown with a broad forehead and his trademark mane of hair swept back off his face. His gaze, assertive and fixed on the spectator, betrays a somewhat bitter expression.
