This is an outstanding piece due to the quality of its Mudéjar-style ornamentation and its association with the mediaeval synagogue in the neighbourhood where it was found.

This is the largest and best conserved of a series of similar plasterwork fragments. It is characterised by its ornate decoration based on plant and geometric motifs, and the remains of red paint on its surface.

It is associated with a building which has been identified as the synagogue of the mediaeval Jewish neighbourhood in Molina de Aragón, located in a setting known as the Prao de los Judíos. This is therefore a decorative architectural element at the top of the walls of the synagogue, according to other known mediaeval models which also have religious inscriptions in Hebrew characters.
