One of the best conserved pieces of the Bell-Beaker culture, this was found as part of a collection of items in a group burial site.

This container is handmade and its surface is decorated with incisions filled with white paste, a characteristic of the ceramic production of this culture.

The piece is perfectly conserved and was found inside the Destete cave at the top of a burial mound which contained a collection of bones, mainly long bones, fragments of pelvis and four skulls. We therefore know that this was a Beaker –not an individual– burial, and was typical of the tradition of collective burials seen throughout the whole cave, and which date from approximately 2600 and 1700 B.C.
