Picture of Caralina Bárcena, leading actress of the Compañía Cómico-Dramática (Comedy – Drama Company) of Gregorio Martínez Sierra, in “vibrationist” style.

Gregorio Martínez Sierra selected the painter Rafael Barrada, along with Manuel Fontanals and Sigfrido Burman to design most of the posters, illustrations, and programs for his company. He did it using his technique called “vibrationism”, consisting of giving his drawings great expressive strength based on excellent chromatism.
