Small spinning wheel that looks like a decorative element because of its rich ornamentation and materials used to build it.

It was mainly a tool used by women and required great skill.

This item is also exceptional because it was catalogued by Xaquín Lorenzo Fernández. An image of this item is published in the "Historia de Galiza" (History of Galicia), an ambitious encyclopaedic project directed by Ramón Otero Pedrayo. Lorenzo contributed with a chapter about Ethnography and Material Culture.
