This piece of pottery, found in the moat of Bellver Castle, must have been part of the royal tableware.

A plate decorated in green and manganese on a white background, showing two fishes in profile, separated by triangles. It is a piece for serving at table, probably designed to hold fish at the brim and broth or sauce in the bowl. It has clear similarities with Paterna pottery.

The fish shapes are similar to those found in eastern Islamic pottery from more or less the same period, in which fish are associated with concepts of fertility and prosperity.
