This is one of the three luxury copies that were made of the Ceremonial, where the regulations are written for important events such as the unction and coronation of the king and queen of Aragón, a rite and iconography, also used as a political tool.

The following kings were crowned following this ceremonial: John I, in 1388; Martin I the Human, in 1397; and Ferdinand I of Antequera, in 1414. It has borders featuring plant motifs and the arms of Aragón on the lower part, and initials with scenes from the king and queen's coronation to the right on sheets 1 and 29.
