Oil on canvas which depicts still life very skilfully. It was used as a decorative element in a gala dining room.

The artist, Giuseppe Recco, is one of the most famous Neapolitan still-life painters. His technique is characterised by the realistic depiction of the natural look of every object by using layers - transparent brushstrokes - or with opaque brushstrokes with a large amount of paint.
