Attic ceramic cup with red figures. The decoration is attributed to the Circle of the Marlay Painter.

This is imported pottery decorated with a central medallion depicting a scene of an athlete in an arena. The outside is decorated with vertical palmettes, and between these there are two youths face to face. The decoration featuring red figures and the scene of the young athlete have led to its attribution to the Circle of the Marlay Painter. It dates from the last quarter of the 5th century B.C. and comes from the Iberian necropolis of Los Castellones de Ceal.
