The Compendium forms part of a set of texts dedicated to explaining the “Ars demonstrativa”, considered by Llul to be his best and most important work.

This is a codex with an illuminated initial capital letter ornately decorated in blue and red, and with additional red filigree decoration. Ramón Llul wanted to create an art to reveal the truth, a necessary concept in all sciences, which was also an “art of conversion”, as the objective was to convince non-believers by means of an incontrovertible logical demonstration.
