This work, the winner of the National Comic Award, is the seventh instalment of the adventures of the famous Capitán Torrezno.

In the words of the author, Santiago Valenzuela, the tribulations of Capitán Torrezno are a reworking of the classic adventure strips where fantasy, history and philosophy are mixed together with large doses of humour and irony. These are stories with a complex plotline, full of characters, settings and subplots, and punctuated with historical and philosophical references.

The protagonist, Capitán Torrezno, is a solitary old civil servant who one fine day in the midst of a drinking binge comes across a kind of god in disguise. Without knowing quite how, when he returns home he finds himself transported into a microscopic world where his toy figures of Adam and Eve come to life. A civilisation begins to unfold, in which the patterns of world history are repeated, with new religions and philosophies.
