Original title

Metempsicosis

Last play written by Albert Miralles, giving a dramatic twist to his previous output.

The Pythagorean term of “metempsychosis” refers to mutations undergone after death by elements of the human psyche, which break away to form part of other living beings, whether animals, plants or men. Knowing that his death was close, Miralles attempted to reflect on the significance of the migration of souls. It is a kind of desperate cry, difficult to perform, and a complete departure from his previous works.

This work represents a personal crusade by the author to defend living Spanish authors, and restore their dignity. Miralles had already died when his National Drama Literature Award was conferred.
