A play by the writer and actor, Fernando Fernán-Gómez, it premiered at the Teatro Español in Madrid in April 1982 under the direction of José Carlos Plaza.
The play, which brings together the author’s childhood impressions, recounts the daily life of a family in Madrid during the Spanish Civil War. The writer reflects the atmosphere of the time, the different ideologies adhered to, the disagreements and disputes, death and the desperation provoked by the Civil War, though he also leaves room for the hope of the children.
