The choreographer and flamenco dancer Antonio 'el Bailarín', brought the Galician legend of the Holy Company to the world of dance.
Based on the work of the same name by the Spanish composer Ernesto Halffter, himself in turn a disciple of the great Manuel de Falla, Antonio 'el Bailarín' temporarily abandoned his useual Andalusian settings to recreate the traditional popular dances of Galicia, in this case through the myth of the Holy Company.
Faithfully keeping to the spirit of the musical score, and combining lyrical instrumentalism with a perfectly flowing series of steps, Antonio created a fresh, imaginative and spectacularly beautiful choreography. It is particularly worth noting the pas de deux and the muñeira as examples of sensibility and delicacy of movement.
