Original title

Entre dos aguas

With this historic composition, guitarist and composer Paco de Lucía made himself known to the greater public.

This composition appeared on the album “Fuente y caudal”, released in 1973, which confirmed Paco de Lucía as one of the great renovators of Spanish flamenco guitar. In search of new harmonic ideas, Paco de Lucía opened up flamenco to other musical styles (blues and jazz) and in so doing left behind legendary pieces like this.
The album was a success with critics and the public, and especially this apparently simple rumba piece, with its very catchy melody and the creative freedom of the guitar soloist.
It is one of the pieces most frequently performed by professionals and, especially, by anyone trying to learn the art of guitar playing.
