Original title

En er mundo

Although it does not have lyrics, it is one of the most-performed pasadobles today by numerous traditional popular bands.

It was composed by popular song and film soundtrack composer Juan Quintero Muñoz with the help of violinist Jesús Fernández Lorenzo. They wrote it for a Cuban saxophonist named Aquilino Calzado, who triumphed on Madrid stages in those times, although it seems that Quintero dedicated this pasodoble to the April Fair of Seville.
It is a popular pasodoble track, in which the freedom that is usually given to solos stands out during its performance, especially on trumpet, accordion and saxophone. It has been performed on many occasions. The version introduced by filmmaker Víctor Erice in his masterpiece “El sur” (The South) (1984) is quite famous.
