El Amor Brujo

The world of composer Manuel de Falla and his famous ballet staged by the Víctor Ullate Ballet - Comunidad de Madrid.

The writer Vicente Molina Foix wrote the stage script, painter and stage designer Frederic Amat created the stage design and costumes and the marvellous flamenco singer Carmen Linares created the songs for this extraordinary staging of Falla’s ballet El amor brujo.
The première took place at La Maestranza Theatre in Seville starring as principal danseur Antonio Márquez from the Spanish National Ballet, who joined Ullate’s company for this occasion.
Ullate’s new contributions included the sound effects with an oriental aftertaste commissioned from the composer Luis Delgado, as well as the use of two of Falla’s songs, Asturiana (in the Ernesto Halffter version) and Nana.
