Agricultural life in the Late Roman Empire
You can also visit the ruins of an old stately house from the period.
The Almenara-Puras Roman Villas Museum offers the chance to discover rural life at the time of the Roman Empire in a fun, educational way. This tourist/cultural centre is the only one of its kind in Spain, and comprises different areas where visitors can discover rural life in the Roman Empire. The tour also includes projections, audiovisual presentations, information panels, reproductions and original pieces from the archaeological site. There are also activities for school children and a theme park designed for younger visitors.
In addition to the museum in itself, there is another building where you can see the remains recovered from an old stately house from the 4th century, with its rooms, patios, mosaics, and part of the original period paintings.
