The museum is housed in the old residence of Countess Emilia Pardo Bazán, and is today shared with the Galician Royal Academy.
Emilia Pardo Bazán is a key figure in the world of literature, both as a writer and for her pioneering collaboration in numerous initiatives in favour of Galician culture. Her best-known works include 'Los Pazos de Ulloa'.
The visit to the museum also offers a look at a typical urban mansion of the 19th century, as its rooms still conserve the atmosphere of the typical houses of that time. Also on display are the author's original furnishings and household items (glassware, religious objects), as well as a room which showcases all aspects of her literary production.
The museum is intended to be a dynamic experience, and offers various activities designed to bring alive the work and figure of Emilia Pardo Bazán.
