The museum is located in the Chapter House and in the open chapels of the BurgosCathedral; this cathedral has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Items on display include numerous precious metalwork pieces (silver images, monstrances, crosses and other liturgical objects), paintings, sculptures, documents, codices (10th-16th centuries) such as the Cardeña Bible, tapestries, and a collection of Flemish panels.
