Founded by Cardinal Mendoza.
Its façade is the earliest Renaissance work made in Spain. This college was founded by Cardinal Mendoza in the 15th century. The original intention was to have a Gothic design, which however subsequently evolved towards a Plateresque-type ornamentation, which was later modified by the neoclassical reforms carried out by Ventura Rodríguez in the 18th century. The building has a courtyard with three floors of arcades with semicircular arches. It has a library containing the 'Valcabado Beatus' with illuminations by Obeco. The chapel is home to a carved figure known as the 'Cristo de la Luz' by Gregorio Fernández. It is today a university residence attached to the University of Valladolid.
