The gateway to the city

The tower belongs to the Mudéjar architecture of Aragon, which has been declared UNESCO World Heritage.

The church of San Martín was known to be in existence in 1196, although the current building dates from the late 17th century. It has three naves, an ambulatory, barrel vault with lunettes in the central nave and arris vaults in the side naves. The oldest part is the Gothic-Mudejar tower dating from 1315, which has a square base and is decorated with brick and ceramic panels. At its base there is a pointed arch which gives onto a street.
