
This church belongs to a group of buildings that have been declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in Salamanca, together with its old quarter.
It was built in the 12th century. It is Romanesque with a circular floor plan and a Baroque belfry. It has three naves surrounded by columns that end in three semi-circular apses which are not visible from the outside. It has interesting 14th century Gothic paintings that depict scenes of the Virgin's life.
