Practically nothing remains today of the old Arab wall, and very little of what was once an impregnable Christian fortress whose last construction corresponds to the time of Philip II. The only surviving parts are a few fragments of the wall, two magnificent circular towers and the lovely archway of the entrance gate (the Bezudo arch).
