This Visigoth shrine dates from the 7th century, and was dedicated to Santa María. The friezes feature vine tendrils, grapes, birds, peacocks, monograms, quadrupeds and other fantasy motifs. Inside the church there is a triumphal horseshoe arch supported on Roman columns, with a bust of Christ and representations of the sun and moon on the keystone. There are angels carved on the capitals.
