One of the most innovative and emblematic residential buildings in Spanish contemporary architecture, conceived as a vertical neighbourhood in itself and designed by the architect Ricardo Bofill.
This is a project for a building-city located in the densely populated metropolitan area of Barcelona. The building has 18 towers, each one of which is displaced floor by floor from its foundations, thus forming a curve which ultimately makes contact with each of the towers. The result is a structure resembling a vertical labyrinth and containing seven interconnected interior courtyards.
Each building is formed by modules of 30 m2, which are joined together to create homes of different sizes. The whole building comprises a total of 31,140 m2 distributed among the 446 homes and a series of spaces such as the recreation and meeting rooms, the bars and shops on the ground floor, and the two swimming pools on the roofs.
