Combination of Romanesque and Gothic styles
Founded in the 11th century, it was not concluded until two centuries later, and combines Romanesque and Gothic elements.
The basilica of San Vicente was built outside the city walls; it was established in the 11th century, and is dedicated to San Vicente and his sisters Cristeta and Sabina. Construction began in the Romanesque style and concluded two centuries later in the Gothic canon. The master architect Fruchel took part in the building project. The interior has cross vaults on a Romanesque structure. The Virgin of La Soterraña is venerated in a crypt.
