The Guggenheim Bilbao Museum presents a full retrospective of the work of one of the most important artists on the current scene, Jenny Holzer.

Holzer’s work revolves around language: through axiomatic, incisive texts, the artist reflects on fundamental elements of human existence such as power, violence, beliefs, memory, love, sex and death. With this exhibition and a series of installations created specifically for the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum, the public can discover the ideas and arguments Holzer has worked with throughout her career.

The artist intends to involve the public through the creation of evocative spaces which provoke a reaction in the viewer, a thought or an approach to her position on controversial subjects. The exhibition presents new works, including electronic signs with automated devices, paintings and light projections.
