Detail from: Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890), Nature morte, vase avec oeillets (Still life, Vase with carnations), 1890. Oil on canvas. 41 x 32 cm. © Alicia Koplowitz - Grupo Omega Capital Collection

For the first time in Spain, one of the most important European art collections is being shown in public. This extraordinary selection of works presented by the Bilbao Fine Art Museum includes some of the greatest figures of art history.

Until very recently, the Alicia Koplowitz-Grupo Omega Capital collection was unpublished, with just one exhibition of about fifty works in Paris last March. We now have an opportunity to enjoy a total of 90 paintings, drawings, and sculptures from this exceptional collection, including Spanish and international masterpieces.

The paintings and drawings range from the 16th to the 21st century, by Zurbarán, Goya, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Antonio López, Juan Gris, Modigliani, Mondrian, Barceló, Egon Schiele, and more. There are sculptures from Classical Antiquity up to the present with pieces by significant artists such as Julio González, Pablo Gargallo, Eduardo Chillida, Alexander Calder and David Smith.
