Once again this year you can see the Valladolid International Film Festival, SEMINCI. The main stage for projections is the Calderón Theatre, although films will be screened at other venues throughout the city.
A panel of judges made up of professionals awards a range of prizes including the Gold and Silver "Espigas", the "Pilar Miró" Prize for the best new director and the prizes for best actor, actress and director of photography in the official feature film section. The short film section includes the Gold and Silver "Espigas" for the category and the UIP Valladolid prize for the best European short film. Other non-official prizes are also awarded at the festival, such as the critics' award, the viewers' award and the youth award.
