El temps de la seda © Jesús Amable Gil Altaba The González Martí National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts hosts this exhibition on European silk production from the late 17th to the early 19th centuriesThe exhibition displays about a hundred pieces, from clothing items such as doublets, chasubles, and shawls, to curtains, hangings, and furniture, both from the textile collections of the National Ceramics Museum and from seven other museums and institutions, and nine private collections. It is organised in eleven sections, eight on periods or “ages” of silk production, and three on more general themes.
