Monumental sculptures by Manolo Valdés

After passing through Place Vendôme in Paris, the monumental sculptures of Manolo Valdés arrive at Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences.

These six large sculptures have been installed on the south lake of the main pool in Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences, creating a dialogue with their surroundings. Manolo Valdés, one of the founders of the artistic group Equipo Crónica, has created six heads, each over five metres high, using materials including steel, aluminium, marble and cast iron. The result is a series of monumental works inspired by the tradition of Spanish painting and the history of art in general.

Also, visitors can vote on which of these sculptures should remain permanently in the city, thanks to a donation by the Hortensia Herrero Foundation.
