Klimt’s Gold

An immersive multimedia exhibition opens up the life and work of Gustav Klimt, creator of the famous painting “The Kiss” and Vienna’s greatest exponent of Symbolism and Art Nouveau.

The exhibition is a multimedia show combining image, sound, light and fragrance to create a unique experience. Under carefully designed lighting, thousands of moving large-scale images are projected onto around twenty huge screens, while a thoughtful selection of music plays softly. The audience finds itself immersed in the golden art of the famous portraits, friezes and landscapes of the Austrian artist and can explore them in detail.

The different information rooms, interactive elements and exhibition spaces tell the story of Klimt’s life and work in nine chapters, with a particular focus on the women who inspired him. There is a also a special area for children where they can express their own artistic talents.
