This exhibition at the ICO Museum is part of the 2019 PHotoESPAÑA festival. For the first time in Spain, it shows the changes in Europe’s rural and urban landscape from 1984 to the present, documented in images.

The works shown are by nearly 60 photographers who took part in eight long-term photographic commissions from 1984 to the present. These photographic projects were commissioned by public and semi-public institutions in different European countries, regions and cities. The goal of these commissions was to document changes in Europe’s rural, urban and suburban landscape.

The exhibition presents images from commissions in France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark and Romania, accompanied by numerous publications linked to the projects. As a complementary activity, the museum is organising workshops and educational activities for families, young people and people with functional and cognitive diversity.
