Exhibition: Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away

View of the exhibition

Madrid’s Canal Exhibition Centre shines a light on the darkest places in recent European history. Its latest exhibition is a moving and illuminating exploration of the most iconic scene of the Holocaust: Auschwitz.

The experience takes around two-and-a-half hours, with eye-witness accounts and over 600 original pieces which formed part of the history of Auschwitz. The tour prompts us to reflect on human nature and on the complex reality of Auschwitz, a shared world of victims and executioners. Most of the objects and photographs in the exhibition are being shown for the first time in public.
