2019-2020 season at the Teatro Real. Flamenco Real

Cristina Hoyos © Javier del Real / Teatro Real

The second season of the Teatro Real’s programme dedicated to the art of flamenco pays homage to the great dancer Cristina Hoyos, whose talent and mastery have inspired artists over generations.

The second edition of Flamenco Real comprises 30 performances of song and dance starring well-known artists, representing different schools, families and currents in flamenco. The programme for the 2019-2020 season is dedicated to the dancer and choreographer Cristina Hoyos, whose influence can be seen in many of the younger bailaores who will be performing.

The Ballroom of the Teatro Real will again be the setting for these shows, to be held every Friday at 9 pm. The audience can enter the ballroom from 8.30 pm, when they will be welcomed with a glass of Spanish wine. In this informal setting, at the end of the show, members of the audience can approach the artists and talk to them.
