The attitude and status of artists in the post-modern era and its continuing evolution have changed radically since the end of the Second World War. The complexity of the world which sprang from the ashes of that conflict gave rise in parallel to the appearance and fusion of numerous short-lived aesthetic movements and ideological postures in an ever more globalised world. Spain, the Spanish creators, will not want to get left behind in the fast development of avant-garde art and will use their imagination for pure modernity, and they will be able to use new technologies (computers and the digital world) and ways of interacting and disseminating their work (TV, internet).
