The National Auditorium of Music is also the official home of the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir (OCNE) and the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE).
This is an organism dependent on the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music under the Ministry of Culture. The building, brainchild of architect Jose María García Paredes, was inaugurated on 21 October 1988. The auditorium’s two concert halls, for Symphonic and Chamber music, seat 2,324 and 692 respectively. This layout allows the auditorium to hold up to four concerts daily, with afternoon and evening sessions.
The National Auditorium of Music plays an important role in the world of music, as its facilities are made available to persons and entities, both public and private, for holding musical activities.
