Accessible Theatre Season 2018-2019

Accessible Theatre Function © Teatro Accesible

This programme of theatrical performances for the hearing and visually impaired is opening its curtains again, and is set to travel through different cities in Spain.

This initiative includes plays that are accessible to people with sensory disabilities. It enables people with these disabilities to have access to leisure and culture in a normalised way, and to enjoy the experience with friends and family.

The Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and the Teatre Romea in Barcelona; the Teatros del Canal in Madrid, the Teatro Circo in Murcia and the Teatro del Bosque in Móstoles are some of the stages included in this project, which also trains and employs people with disabilities or mental illnesses. Adapted performances scheduled for this season include titles such as “Cronología de las bestias” by Lautaro Perotti, “La Douleur” by Marguerite Duras, “The Cherry Orchard” by Chekhov and “Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Brontë.
