"Film director. Well known in art and culture circles in Europe because of his video art."

Born in A Coruña in 1960. Self-taught, he filmed his first short film in Galician at the age of 17: “A semente” (“The seed”). Later on, in 1981 he made “Tacón”, adapted from a text by the writer Jorge Luis Borges. Then he directed “Finisterre” (1999), which won several awards in international festivals, and “Thirteen Chimes”, based on the work by Suso del Toro, for which he won a Mestre Mateo award for best film.
